"Instability Desk" redefines workspace design by balancing form, function, and material efficiency. Created using advanced digital fabrication techniques, including CNC routing and computer-assisted structural optimisation, the desk highlights the elegance of angular geometry while maintaining a dynamic presence.
Crafted from birch plywood and lightweight aluminium, its unique design features angular legs and intersecting surfaces, creating a striking yet highly stable structure. The intricate folded geometry not only ensures material efficiency, with each component precisely calculated to minimise waste, but also offers ergonomic support and modular adaptability for collaborative environments.
The design process integrates structural simulations, 3D modelling, and digital fabrication workflows, blending computational precision with artisan detailing. Its clustered configurations make it ideal for modern co-working spaces, facilitating seamless interaction while maintaining individual comfort. The "Instability Desk" embodies a forward-thinking approach to design, merging innovation and practicality in one minimalist yet impactful piece.
