Strata

Strata is a sculptural installation that reimagines stone tiles as an art form. Created in collaboration with Cosentino, the piece transforms Dekton tiles—typically used as surface finishes—into the central focus of the artwork. Inspired by the Pietra Kode series, Strata celebrates the formation of sedimentary rocks, paying homage to natural processes that shape the material over centuries.

The sculpture draws parallels to the Renaissance, a period of cultural rebirth, by revisiting classical stone forms through a contemporary lens. The layered arrangement of the Dekton tiles mimics the striations of stratified rock formations, evoking the interplay of winds and seas that shape the earth.

Temporarily installed at Park Royal Beach Road, Strata aims to redefine perceptions of high-performance stone materials, showcasing their inherent beauty and versatility. This project, supported by key sponsors and collaborators, merges art, nature, and innovation, creating a lasting impression for the community.
